Archdiocese for the Military Services, military ordinariate

   This term designates the nonterritorial archdiocese that is responsible for providing religious services and pastoral care to members of the military services and their families, both in the United States and overseas. This archdiocese, which supervises Catholic chaplains for the military services, has its headquarters in Washington, D.C.
